CCSD93 will be hosting a program called Be Seen and Heard©, a child sexual abuse prevention program for all students. It is designed to create an age-appropriate, safe and engaging environment where students will learn about the difference between safe and unsafe touch, the difference between safe and unsafe secrets and the importance of speaking up to trusted heroes and adults.

This past Wednesday evening, our 5th graders celebrated the culmination of their 10-week D.A.R.E. program with a special graduation ceremony. In D.A.R.E., students learned how to make safe, healthy choices using the D.A.R.E. Decision-Making Model and they learned about some of the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol. Congratulations to all of our graduates for pledging to remain drug- and alcohol-free. We’re so proud of you!

This past Tuesday afternoon, our students enjoyed a school-wide game of BINGO to celebrate the end of Trimester 1. The energy was high, there were lots of smiles, and it was a wonderful way to bring everyone together and recognize everyone’s hard work throughout the trimester. This message is being sent to keep you informed of a situation that occurred at Cloverdale Elementary School today. At approximately 3:00 p.m., the fire alarm sounded. All Cloverdale students and staff members immediately evacuated the building, per building and District crisis procedures, and were safely accounted for within minutes.
